Free Friday: November 16th

This weekend brings the first American Grand Prix in over 20 years in Austin, Texas and we decided to ask our fans what their favourite American motors were!

We got some great replies and it was far more varied than we expected. While style was often questionable with their muscle cars of yesteryear they still remain iconic. The no holds barred emphasis on power over handling sums the Americans up!

The winner of this week's Free Friday is Bobby Marshall who wrote this when describing his favourite American motor:
"The 1964 Pontiac GTO was little more than a hot-rodded LeMans, but the 325 HP, 389 cubic inch V8 with a Carter four-barrel carb, dual exhaust and a three-speed Hurst manual transmission ignited the original muscle car wars. It lit a fire in Pontiac showrooms, selling three times the projected annual sales and it will always have a special place in every car guy's heart."
It was a brilliantly written suggestion and wins this week's prize. Could Bobby e-mail maxb@micksgarage.com with his contact details and we will get his prize out to him next week!

Thanks to all for entering and remember to keep on eye on our Facebook page every Friday to be in with a chance.
