The VL Automotive Destino

According to one particular American the only thing wrong with the electric super coupe, the Fisker Karma was that it didn't have a 638-horsepower, supercharged LS9 V8 engine borrowed from the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 under the bonnet.

So to right that wrong, Bob Lutz and industrialist Gilbert Villereal have built one with that very engine and called it the VL Automotive Destino, giving all the eco, electro, environmentalists a giant, V8 powered 2 fingered salute in the process.

Apparently It's intended to compete with such well-regarded performance sedans as the Porsche Panamera and Aston Martin Rapide and will cost about $180,000, which is more than the innovative, eco friendly, original Fiker Karma wich costs a mere $102,000. Good luck with that then.

The Destino will be built at VL Automotive's headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and it will be delivered through still-in-development distribution network starting this summer.
