We were back to the traditional Free Friday this week, where we wanted to hear your stories from the dreaded winter cold snap from last year. It's getting colder already this week, with some snow reported in Donegal!
We got some cracking stories in from last year from cars ending up at front doors, missing the family dinner on Christmas Day, over-heating cars to stories of immense generosity! There can only be one winner and this week we have picked:
Michael Peakin
Who's story was: "I had to get the passengers on my bus to stand down the back over the wheels to get the bus up the hills. The whole bus cheered when it worked"
We feel this is a wonderful story about one man's struggle who's creativity and determination inspired a generation of people to believe in themselves with a sense of hope and accomplishment. We even have a title for the film "Man vs. Snow - The Uphill Struggle" - what does everyone think?
