As most of you are aware, the legendary car designer Sergio Pininfarina passed away this week at the age of 85. The Turin based genius was head designer at Ferrari was numerous years but also designed for several other companies that ranged from Rolls Royce to Peugeot. We have decided to compile our 10 favourite designs of his and it is no surprise that iconic Ferraris dominate the list!

In no particular order, here are the top 10:

1984 Ferrari Testarossa

The car that set tongues wagging in 80's show Miami Vice.

Ferrari Testarossa

2008 Maserati Gran Turismo

An under appreciated recent model in my opinion, one of the best designs of the last decade. The front end is close to perfection.

1957 Ferrari 250GT California

Recently seen on Top Gear where James May gets behind the wheel of a SWB model owned by a famous red haired UK DJ. It is reported that Chris Evans paid £5.6 million for the masterpiece.

2012 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

The newest design of our Top 10. This menacing design just screams speed.

One of Pininfarina's first iconic cars which was ahead of its time due to the radical design.

1987 Ferrari F40

The car that adorned teenage boy's walls throughout the 90s was a cert to make our Top 10. One of the first true supercars with a top speed of over 200mph.

2002 Ferrari Enzo

Clearly inspired by the Ferrari F40 featured above, it was named after the founder of the Italian company. What a tribute!

1963 Chevrolet Corvette Rondine Concept

While this car never saw the production line officially, it still was unveiled at car shows. It beautifully pairs Italian sports car design with American muscle. It wouldn't look out of place on the roads today, nearly 50 years later.

1960 Ferrari 250 GTE

A timeless classic, maintaining an air of class while still having room for 4 adults.

1965 Nissan Cedric 130

Something left field to conclude our Top 10. The Cedric differs significantly from the Ferraris yet is attractive in its own right.
