Earlier this week FCR media driver Barry Rabbitt tweeted "it's the podium or bust" and his team mate Jennifer Mullen tells us she's "hoping for more luck than at Kirkistown & to come away with a better result at my home track! A podium in the scholarship would be mega!"
Last year's 'driver of the weekend award' winner, Timmy Swail is aiming to replicate last years success where he managed 3 podium finishes "If I can get anywhere near the podium I will be delighted! All the big guns are out at the weekend, Sheane, Savage,Hearty, Allen, so if i manage to mix it up with the big boys, even just a little I'll be delighted!"
We haven't managed to get a quote from our very own title contender Robbie Allen as yet,we're assuming he's just going to let the driving do the talking! We did manage to get a quote from Championship leader Kevin Sheane though:
"well this weekend most importantly I'm looking for a finish, I'm aiming to be the man on the top of the podium but this event is a bit of an unknown seeing as we have only raced here once previously and all have very little experience with the circuit.
There's 3 men I need to beat and that's Brian Hearty, Robbie Allen and Kieth Hogg any of whitch could win the race depending on who hits the ground running for qualifying, Barry Rabbit and Tim Swail could also turn out to be danger men depending on the weather...id just like to wish everyone the best of luck and im look forward to a great weekends racing!!!!"
If You've never seen Formula Sheane before, check out our sort intro clip below, or better still why not head along to Bishopscourt this Saturday and Sunday and see all the action first hand!
