Aron Smith Gears Up For BTCC2014

As you may know we're sponsoring Irish racing driver Aron Smith in the British Touring Car Championship this year. He has joined a new team for 2014 and will be driving alongside 2 time BTCC champion Alain Menu at Team BMR Racing.

Last week we headed over to Donington park for the official BTCC press day. All the teams were there as well as a huge representation from the motoring media. The fans also turned up in their droves for what was effectively a test session, they filled a grandstand in-fact. The place was buzzing and there was a huge sense of anticipation and excitement in the air.

2014 is set to be a gala year for the BTCC, an anticpated return to its heyday back in the late 90's. The grids are packed to overflowing, there are no less than 7 past championship winning drivers in the running, 2 of which have been lured back from overseas by the promise of the most exciting motor racing available in the world. There is a veritable sea of talent, both young and old and the big car manufacturers are starting to pay attention again with Honda and MG already running full factory supported teams.
